The annual Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) highlights the world’s leading universities in 57 subjects spanning Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences. Using data-driven indicators grouped into five areas - Faculty Excellence, Research Output, Quality, Impact, and Global Collaboration - GRAS offers a trusted snapshot of academic performance. 

Each year, GRAS reviews about 20,000 subject entries from nearly 2,000 universities across more than 100 countries.
